Res·to·ra·tion com·e·dy
noun: Restoration comedy; plural noun: Restoration comedies
a style of drama that flourished in London after the Restoration in 1660, typically having a complicated plot marked by wit, cynicism, and licentiousness.
the experience of a homeowner when remodeling their property, typically having a complicated plot marked by wit, cynicism, and scouring the internet for hardware, building codes, materials that simply do not seem to exist.
It is because of point number two that I have started this blog - the amount of hours I have logged researching design/building styles, searching for very specific pieces of hardware/materials/fill in the blank to match the original pieces that remain in my 1926 Spanish bungalow, the trials and tribulations of wildlife in urban areas and more. The wit and cynicism may carry over in this version (and hopefully some humor), but we'll leave the licentiousness to dear old Sir John Falstaff.
